Symmetry Remains OPEN as an Essential Business

Symmetry Physical Therapy is continuing to operate as an essential health care provider under the Stay Home – Work Safe order currently in effect in the City of Austin and Travis County. We ARE open and continue to be able to provide rehabilitation services to the Austin community.

We are aware that musculoskeletal injuries and acute pain episodes have not stopped occurring – even though much of our previously typical daily activity has come to a halt.

DON’T FORGET THAT IN TEXAS YOU CAN NOW GO TO PHYSICAL THERAPY DIRECTLY AND WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION.

A physical therapist can effectively evaluate and treat musculoskeletal pain and injury in an office setting – allowing patients to avoid going to potentially crowded urgent care or emergency medical facilities for assessment.

The Symmetry clinic is a free standing facility.  We are the only business on our office building floor, and there is no tenant in the building serving clients that are potentially ill.  Symmetry’s staff is maintaining a clean and sanitized environment according to the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control.  We are screening both ourselves and our patients for fever and for any other signs of illness prior to each work day and each patient visit.  We have adjusted our schedules and staffing to accommodate for “physical distancing.”  And in accordance with recent Austin-Travis County health officials’ recommendations, masks are in use by our staff and patients. (Click here to access further current information.)

We are aware that many other Austin area health care facilities and treatment clinics have currently closed.  Please know that Symmetry is an option for assistance during this time.  Also – feel free to provide our information to other community members that could benefit from our help.

Wishing you and yours good health during this challenging time!
