Julie Mankinen, PT, OCS, FAAOMPT is Symmetry Physical Therapy's owner and founder. Julie has been practicing in Austin since graduating from Texas State University's Physical Therapy Program in 1997. She is an accomplished Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapist, recognized for over 10 years by the American Physical Therapy Association's Board of Specialty Practice as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. Julie is also a 10-year tenured Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists – a distinction earned by a post-graduate residency and fellowship that is only awarded to a select group of therapists each year. Julie enjoys working with a broad range of orthopedic patients, including those with 'difficult' or complicated cases. She has special interests in spine care and foot/ankle injury rehabilitation, but also likes working with patients with other upper and lower extremity injuries.
Julie brings a broad background of clinical and administrative experience to Symmetry Physical Therapy. She is recognized in Austin as a mentor and a resource for her clinical expertise. She has been a clinical instructor for graduate and post-graduate students for over 12 years, and has also taught multiple professional seminars on several manual therapy and orthopedic topics to other therapists across the nation. She was honored with the Clinical Instructor of the Year award in 2011. Julie has served in administrative leadership roles for over 10 years in both corporate and private practice settings. She maintains an active role in the American and Texas Physical Therapy Associations – advocating for the ongoing development of high-level physical therapy practice that is accessible to the community as an important health-care benefit.
Julie's strong combination of clinical and business expertise bring balance to Symmetry Physical Therapy – creating an environment that consistently produces high levels of clinical treatment outcomes and patient satisfaction with the global therapy experience.

Brad Bevil, PT, DPT earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas in 2008, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas State University in 2015. He is excited to be a part of the Symmetry Physical Therapy team and about the clinic’s commitment to clinical excellence and outstanding patient care. Brad completed a Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) through Evidence in Motion, and in 2018 obtained a Board Certification in Orthopaedics (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association's Advanced Licensing Board.
Having been a physical therapy patient multiple times during his college baseball career, Brad understands the frustrations that come along with being injured or in pain. He enjoys working with patients to establish an individual rehab plan that addresses their goals, and is passionate about helping others improve their level of physical function, whether that be preparing to get back on the sports field, returning to work, or simply being able to enjoy life.

Lily Swann, PT, DPT is an Austin native. Lily earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Jose State University in San Jose, California in 2011, as well as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas State University in 2016. She completed a Manual Therapy Certification with the Institute for Athlete Regeneration, and is currently pursuing a Fellowship in Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
One of Lily’s defining qualities is her love of physical activity. Her gymnastics career began as a youth with the competitive team at AcroTex in Austin and continued through college. Lily received a full scholarship for NCAA gymnastics at San Jose State University. She initially became acquainted with physical therapy due to two significant injuries that she sustained as a gymnast during this time. Lily was impressed by and grateful for her Physical Therapist’s ability to efficiently enable her to return to sport while also displaying empathy and actively listening to and working towards her patient’s personal goals. Lily is passionate about bringing the same qualities to her physical therapy practice.

Kelsy Vick, PT, DPT earned her B.S. in Exercise Science with a specialization in Medical Fitness & Rehabilitation from The University of Texas at Austin and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas State University. As a student, Kelsy helped to found the Texas State Community Access Physical Therapy Clinic, which works to provide excellent, low-cost physical therapy services to those in the Austin area that are uninsured, underinsured, or have limited financial means.
Kelsy has clinical experience primarily in outpatient orthopedics and enjoys the challenge that comes with combining her extensive background in exercise principles, manual therapy skills, and knowledge of anatomy and physiology to help patients in their movements, function, rehabilitation, and training. She has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients, from elite level athletes with goals of returning to their respective sports, to patients whose goals revolve around improving their gait, balance, and mobility. Kelsy’s love for learning about the human body and human movements began as an early, multi-sport athlete and continues today as she works with her patients to help them reach their goals.

Adam Arlitt, PT, DPT is an Austin native who earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama and then came home to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas State University. Adam is currently furthering his orthopedic specialty practice through the Institute for Athlete Regeneration’s orthopedic residency program.
Adam has led a movement-based life playing soccer and basketball, and practicing Taekwondo growing up. But it was not until he began rock climbing after college and sought out principles of injury prevention related to this activity that he discovered the physical therapy profession. Adam strives to provide patient centered care that is individualized to each patient’s specific limitations and goals, and to provide knowledge to help patients feel empowered to further their rehabilitation and prevent future injury. He has a special interest in treating rock climbers and running athletes.
Adam is excited to be part of a clinic that values high quality, evidenced-based patient care!
