Welcome to New Symmetry Staff Members!

We are excited to formally introduce two physical therapists that are new to Symmetry’s clinical staff!  Kelsy Vick, PT, DPT started with us in the Spring and Adam Arlitt, PT, DPT joined the team this summer.  Both Kelsy and Adam are graduates of the Texas State University Physical Therapy Doctoral Program, which is where Julie, Brad, & Lily also earned their physical therapy degrees.  This common academic background, in combination with shared interests in the pursuit of excellence in the specialty practice of orthopedic manual physical therapy, expands Symmetry’s capacity to provide cohesive high-level rehabilitation services to the Austin community.  Kelsy and Adam also both embody the personable, nurturing qualities that further Symmetry’s culture of building collaborative and on-going partnerships with customers to improve health and wellness.   We hope that you’ll stop by to meet them soon!

Here is some biographical information about Kelsy and Adam.  You can also check out their profiles on Symmetry’s “Our Team” page:

Kelsy Vick, PT, DPT earned her B.S. in Exercise Science with a specialization in Medical Fitness & Rehabilitation from The University of Texas at Austin and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas State University. As a student, Kelsy helped to found the Texas State Community Access Physical Therapy Clinic, which works to provide excellent, low-cost physical therapy services to those in the Austin area that are uninsured, underinsured, or have limited financial means.

Kelsy has clinical experience primarily in outpatient orthopedics and enjoys the challenge that comes with combining her extensive background in exercise principles, manual therapy skills, and knowledge of anatomy and physiology to help patients in their movements, function, rehabilitation, and training. She has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients, from elite level athletes with goals of returning to their respective sports, to patients whose goals revolve around improving their gait, balance, and mobility. Kelsy’s love for learning about the human body and human movements began as an early, multi-sport athlete and continues today as she works with her patients to help them reach their goals.

Adam Arlitt, PT DPT is an Austin native who earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama and then came home to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas State University. Adam is currently furthering his orthopedic specialty practice through the Institute for Athlete Regeneration’s orthopedic residency program.

Adam has led a movement-based life playing soccer and basketball, and practicing Taekwondo growing up. But it was not until he began rock climbing after college and sought out principles of injury prevention related to this activity that he discovered the physical therapy profession. Adam strives to provide patient centered care that is individualized to each patient’s specific limitations and goals, and to provide knowledge to help patients feel empowered to further their rehabilitation and prevent future injury.  He has a special interest in treating rock climbers and running athletes.

Adam is excited to be part of a clinic that values high quality, evidenced-based patient care!
